We make every effort to avoid excessive or irrelevant collection of data and have a clear retention policy for the profiles we create. Protecting your information and respecting your privacy is fundamental to the way we do things. If you have any concerns, please contact nicole@fiskal.co.uk.
2.1. What data do we collect?
- Personal Identification Information e.g. Full Name, Title;
- Verification Details e.g. Name, Date of Birth, National Insurance Number, Driver’s Licence Number;
- Contact Details e.g. Address, Telephone Number(s), Email Address;
- Service Details e.g. Products and Services you require from us;
- Location Details.
2.2. How do we collect your data?
- You directly provide Fiskal with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Register online or other communication methods for our services;
- Voluntarily complete a survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email;
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
2.3. How will we use your data?
Fiskal may use your personal information in several ways which will help us:
- Process your application and manage your request;
- Identify the most appropriate Lender, Broker or Packager for your borrowing requirements;
- Prevent Fraud;
- Ensure Full Compliance with FCA Audit Requirements;
- To help with statistical analysis;
- To provide information for Credit Reference Checks;
- Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.
We may share your personal information with the following:
- Our employees and officers
- Commercial lenders
- Specialist funders
- Solicitors
- Accountants
- Credit reference agencies
- Fraud prevention agencies
- Credit enforcement agencies
- Third party companies and organisations if we are under a duty to disclose your personal data in order to comply with a legal obligation
- Third party companies and organisations who offer services that may be of assistance to you where we cannot provide the service you require
- Lead suppliers (if a third party introduced you to us)
Any of the above may contact you directly
We may share your information with, and obtain information about you from, Credit Reference Agencies or Fraud Prevention Agencies. If you apply to us for insurance services we will pass your details to the insurer.
When Fiskal processes your data, we may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, Credit Reference Agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases. Information you provided may be put onto a register of claims and shared with other insurers to prevent fraudulent claims.
We will not disclose your information to any company outside of the Banks, Lenders, Brokers and Packagers we have identified to support you except to help prevent fraud or if required by law to do so.
3. Marketing
From time to time we would like to contact you with detail of other services we provide, details of special offers and general market / lender news and updates. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you always have the right at any time to opt out at a later date.
4. Use of information
Fiskal will be what is known as the Data Controller and Processor of the personal data you provide to us. We collect personal data about you which may also include any special types of information or location-based information.
We also gather: Your name, address, email, telephone number, details of dependents, employment details, personal asset and liability statement, credit history and general financial status.
4.1. Why we need it:
We need to know your basic personal data to provide you with an accurate recommendation for your personal circumstances. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need to provide and oversee this service to you.
4.2. GDPR
For processing of data to be lawful under GDPR Fiskal use the data under the following:
- Consent: the individual has given clear consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.
- Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract you have with the individual, or because they have asked you to take specific steps before entering into a contract.
- Legal obligation: the processing is necessary for you to comply with the law (not including contractual obligations).
- Vital interests: the processing is necessary to protect someone’s life.
- Public task: the processing is necessary for you to perform a task in the public interest or for your official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.
- Legitimate interests: the processing is necessary for your legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party unless there is a good reason to protect the individual’s personal data which overrides those legitimate interests.
4.3. Information retention
We are required under current regulations to keep your basic personal data provided to us including name, address, telephone and email contact information for a minimum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed. The information used for marketing will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
5. Data rights
If at any point you believe retained information is incorrect you can request to see this information and even have it corrected and possibly deleted. Providing you with this information is free of charge, but charges may apply for excessive requests. Where relevant, you have the right to withdraw consent and object at any time and this means that we cannot process your data provided without your consent. You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO so please contact us in the first instance.
5.1. Sensitive data
The law and other regulations treat some types of sensitive personal information as special. This includes information about racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health data and criminal records. We will not collect or use these types of data without your consent or unless the law allows us to do so. If we do it will only be when necessary for reasons of substantial public interest or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5.2. Cookies
We may gather and analyse information regarding usage of its website including the domain name, the number of hits, length of time per visit and pages visited. This information maybe gathered using a cookie. A cookie is a small text file placed on your hard drive or our web browser server. You can choose whether or not to use a cookie by altering your browser settings. A cookie will make the use of our website faster and easier.
